Two years ago, my mother came across a post by The She Saga (TSS) on Facebook, and that’s how my journey with TSS began. Just like the first article I wrote, which reconnected me with my roots in Odisha, the magazine has also reignited my long-lost passion for sketching, reading, and writing. It’s unfortunate that, over time, due to the circumstances of life and how things unfold, many of us tend to forget to make space for the things we truly love doing. Back when I was in middle school, I participated in all kinds of writing competitions, and not to brag, but I even won a few! I had my first poem and two stories published in a leading children’s magazine and newspaper. But somewhere along the way, I lost touch with writing.
I would still pick up a pen and pencil, but it would only be for academic work, never for sketching or writing a poem or story. And before I knew it, I had stopped taking the time to indulge in creative pursuits altogether. I am really thankful that my mother pushed me to write for TSS. At first, I was hesitant since it had been a long time since I’d written anything. But I’m glad I gave it a try. The first article I wrote was published, and the love and appreciation I received, not just from people I knew, but also from the incredible women in The She Saga family, was overwhelming.

Since then, I’ve written and illustrated several more articles, and my passion for writing blossomed into a profession. Today, I’m a full-time content writer.
It’s true—good company can truly uplift your spirit, and in my case, TSS did just that. Through this platform, I got the chance to interact with women from all walks of life, and I felt an instant connection with many of them. Reading their stories, poems, and perspectives broadened my own worldview and reminded me how the spirit of womanhood binds us all. The comments we leave on each other’s posts are genuinely heartwarming to see. Women supporting and encouraging one another is a beautiful thing, and I cherish that. Of course, it would be wonderful to meet everyone in person one day, but until then, getting to know each other through our words has its own old-world charm, and it makes this bond even more special.
The competitions organized by the magazine are unique and thought-provoking, making us reflect on things we might not have considered otherwise. It’s also incredible to see that, even though we are competing with one another, there is always a genuine sense of love and support for each other’s work. We respect each other’s viewpoints and uplift each other. I never thought I’d have pen pals, but TSS made that happen!
I am extremely grateful, and I look forward to continuing to write and read for all of you beautiful women, each of whom is inspirational and special in her own unique way. Thank you, The She Saga, for giving me this wonderful platform that helped transform my passion for writing into a profession.
