Being Women

The Bond Of Love

A poem on love and togetherness from an anthology of poems.

I have seen myself grow, in the shell

Of his love

Where each drop of my tear, is valued like a pearl

I am thankful to the blessings

From heaven above

For Giving me love’s horizon,

Where my wings could unfurl

I have seen myself grow, in the shelter

Of his arms

Where every feeling of mine, is protected from harm

Where I feel the solace, many manifold

And I find myself smiling, for reasons untold.

I have seen myself grow in the glitter

In his eyes

A reason to live, his love would always suffice

The trust, the care, the belief in my aspirations

An ear to listen, in times of aberrations.

And this bond of our love, invaluable and timeless

Has all the hues, of our unconditional togetherness

The dainty carnations of trust, fill in the space

When I see myself grow, in the smile on his face.
