Ten Words That Define Us

We often think it's the big moments that shape our lives, but sometimes, it's the smallest sounds that leave the deepest impact. This piece is a reflection on ten simple yet powerful words and sounds—things we say, hear, or feel—that quietly define who we are and how we connect with the world around us.

TEN little echoes that can stir the world.
Not screams, not sirens, but soft, soulful syllables
that leave our lips and change everything around us!!

Not just chuckles—here I’m talking about belly-deep, absolute, unfiltered laughter of joy.
The kind that skips across a room and brings sunshine into someone else’s storm.

Just two words, tiny weight—the power is massive.
Gratitude is a gift we can give or gift with our mouths, but as you know, it lands deep in the soul.

It’s not weakness, it’s not surrender.
It’s courage. It’s connection.
A sound that stitches what we had torn apart.

Yes, here I am talking about your voice—raw, real, and maybe off-key? Does it really matter?
The world needs your melody, not your perfection.

Be someone’s loudest fan.
Clap. Shout. Stand. Say “Well done.” Tell them “I believe in you.” Say it, mean it.
Remember, it’s your voice that might be the wind that can lift their wings.
P.S. – This is what we do in The She Saga every day for each other.

Basic? Never, ever.
Kindness is revolutionary when spoken aloud. You never know, but maybe someone was just waiting for those words from you.

Not just the sacred ones, not just for one’s own self, but the spoken wishes for others—
May you rise. May you heal. May you find your way. May there be peace.
Prayers told silently, may or may not be in temples, maybe to God, Bhagwan, Allah, or the universe, but prayers that can be heard and felt.

Words we vow with our whole hearts—
Promise to love each other till our last breath, promise to do better, to stand together, promise to build a world our children can believe in.
Remember the pinky promises and God promises that used to make our childhood beautiful—let’s bring it on now.

The last two and the words that I think have given me strength every other time….

The first word of love, the eternal sound of comfort, the heartbeat we carry even when we forget we are held.
The enormous strength we derive just by uttering those words (or maybe hearing them too). Nothing, absolutely nothing, can come close to this one for me—whether I say it or I hear it.
Say it out loud when you have time; you don’t know when you will miss saying it.

And the last one,

The sound of listening.
The pause that says: “I hear you. I see you. I’m here.”
The power of words without words leaving our mouth—you can never imagine the enormous impact until and unless you have felt it or done it for others. Sitting together in silence, maybe just holding hands, a thousand unspoken words from one heart to the other—it’s magical.
