I had it all till…
I am Vinni Sharma. A copywriter with about 15 years of experience in the field of brand building and advertising. My last stint was with 92.7 Big FM, as the Regional Creative Head.
The job was demanding, and so was my little girl. She was three years old when she told me,
‘ Call Papa to wash my potty, you don’t know how to do that.‘
The mother in me was dying of guilt. I decided to give up my job and with it. I gave up the growth and the pay cheque.
But I had this dream of making it big…
My husband being supportive, opened up the doors of his film production house for me. From the regional head, I became a freelance writer.
Freelancer = Work for Free
I think people take the term FREE-lancer quite literally. They wanted work but would most often not pay or make some other excuse to delay. But I was happy because my girl was happy to find me at home and I had some work to keep me going. Then came COVID, our film business got severely affected and my hard-earned retainer clients vanished, and that was it!!!
Covid took it all! But the journey began again…
I decided that I would do something of my own. My husband, my girls and my team stood by me and I started an Instagram page @tedhimedhifamily. I created comic strips presenting instances inspired by my childhood and that of my kids. (mere bacchon ka bachpan).

Within 3 months there were more than 15K followers. The love and encouragement I got from this growing virtual family inspired me to do more. It was the support of my Tedhi Medhi Team and our Tedhe Medhe Ideas that together we could create such a wacky and crazy line of content-based fashion wear. Today, its sold online through www.tedhimedhifamily.in
My Motto
There’s a quote that has always inspired me to peruse my dreams,
‘Do what you like otherwise you will be forced to like what you get.’
That’s what I believed in and in this last year, my dream has become a part of more than twenty-two thousand Tedhi Medhi Families.
