Netflix recently dropped its adaptation of the hugely promising Archies comic. Since its release, it has been the target of hate and total disregard by the general public. I gathered the courage to watch because I have been an ardent fan of comics since my childhood.
The Archies has its heart in the right place but is let down by the writing. The result? Flatter than a pancake. It’s hard to believe that Zoya Akhtar, who gave us hits like Gully Boy and Dil Dhadhakne Do can dish out such boring fare.
The film, ‘Animal’ has its own set of admirers beside the naysayers.
