‘Just as women’s bodies are softer than men’s, so their understanding is sharper.’
So says the Italian poet, Christine De Pizan. But does that mean we pay little attention to the calling of these softer bodies and douse its feeble call till it stops asking for help? To call a woman’s body soft or tough is a debate for another day. My concern is that we listen to the fine creaking sounds that our body emits so that larger troubles are avoided.

Menstrual Pain
Dysmenorrhoea or menstrual cramps/pain , as we identify them is a monthly agony paralyzing many women for those four days. These pains are normal in a way, so acceptance to some extent is necessary. Hot bag fomentation, hydration, and adequate rest help to tide you over. For some women, the pain is accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea. In such cases, though there is no evident medical emergency, the woman feels debilitated.
