Like a new bride, it stood on the shore
Shivering hesitantly, yet decked up with its best attire in store
The first ray of the dawn carried it in a chariot of hope
Although very new it was welcomed with openings and abundant scope
The Newbie, the New Year was decked up gorgeously
For welcoming a flood of new hopes radiantly
When it learnt about the dreams of millions
Peace, happiness, prosperity and care the list continued in abundance
The Newbie’s Delight was achieved at last
For new energy to perform better
Was something that everyone cherished
The year turned more joyful – amazingly brilliant
