Sreeparna Sen is a Banker by profession and finds her solace in writing. A Computer Engineer by education, she is a voracious reader. When she is not dealing with the loan documents, you can mostly find her nose in a book or Facebook. Procrastination is her middle name and she does not hesitate to put out for tomorrow what she can do today.
She has authored the book, Tilottama At A glance, Tales of Wizardencil and co-authored a few anthologies like Hawk’s Nest, Route 13 – Highway to Hell, and Sharing Lipstick including an international publication Until Dawn.

About the Book (In the author’s words)
Tilottama at a glance takes its readers on a journey through the streets, markets, monuments, and bridges of Kolkata. Strolling across the pages one hops on to trams, yellow taxis, and tanga, encouraged to devour mammoth quantities of street food. A plethora of varied festivals from regular ones like Durga Puja and Christmas to quirky ones like Boi Mela and Gaaner Mela is celebrated in words throughout the book. But any travel magazine can also do that.
The author aims to take her readers on a journey through the hearts and minds of the Kolkatans, riding the highs and lows of the emotional roller coaster, that the community life in Kolkata encourages and fosters. Through this book, the author hopes to share a glimpse of the essence of Kolkata, a city she grew up in.
The book, a chronicle of Kolkata life, is compiled from a series of blog posts written for the A to Z blogging challenge. It’s not merely the A B C’s of Kolkata for a casual traveller. This book allows you to acquaint yourself with the heart and soul of a rather unusual Indian city with loads of quirks. Kolkata, The City of Joy, with its rich history and vibrant culture, home to world-renowned scientists, artists, writers, and philosophers, is a city with a beating heart, whose frequency resonates with the passion and intense emotions of its people.
It is a journey through the culture, history, architecture, quirks, idiosyncrasies, and other endearing or astonishing traits of Kolkata, that make this city unique.
